Governing council

Our school is governed by a governing council who works with our Principal to help set and monitor our school’s vision and direction.

The council meets twice a term on Monday nights from 6.00pm.

The council is responsible for:

  • developing and approving local policies
  • approving and reviewing our budget
  • monitoring and reviewing the site improvement plan
  • the management of the Out of School Hours Care (OSHC) service
  • consulting with the school community to make sure their views are represented.

Sub-committees

The following committees report to the governing council:

  • Finance Advisory Committee
  • OSHC Committee

Parents, community members and staff can be part of our governing council or sub-committees.

Elections for positions on the Governing Council are held in February each year at our Annual General Meeting.

Eligible parents are encouraged to nominate via email before the Annual General Meeting.

After being elected, parents will be required to provide a valid Working with Children Check. The school can help with applying for this check.

The Department provides training sessions for new Governing Council members.
